This page has two parts. Part one covers your use of rivaweddings.com. Part two is our booking and service agreement, which applies once you book us for a wedding or event.
Where we have issued you a signed agreement, quotation and invoice, those documents and part two apply together. If anything differs between them, the documents we have signed with you prevail.
Part one — Using this website
About this website
This site is published by Riva Weddings, a wedding photography and filmmaking team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
Enquiries are not bookings
Sending the enquiry form starts a conversation. It does not reserve a date and does not create a contract. A date is held only once we have confirmed it in writing and received the agreed booking amount.
Quotes
Any figure shown on this site is indicative. Your actual quote depends on your dates, the number of functions, the team required and whether you want photography, films, or both. The quote we send you is the one that applies.
Photographs and films on this site
Every photograph and film here was made by our team and belongs to us. You are welcome to view and share links to these pages. You may not download, copy, re-upload, edit or use any image or film from this site for your own purposes — commercial or otherwise — without our written permission.
The Riva Weddings name and logo belong to us.
Couples shown on this site
Work appears here with our couples’ knowledge. If you are one of our couples and would like an image or film of yours removed, email us and we will take it down.
Reviews
The written and video testimonials on this site come from couples we have worked with.
Links to other sites
Where we link to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest or Google, those services are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for what happens there.
Availability
We keep this site running as reliably as we can, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Part two — Booking & service agreement
These terms apply to every wedding and event we cover. They sit alongside the quotation, invoice, package details and deliverables we send you; together they form our agreement. By confirming your booking and making payment, you accept them.
1. Booking and payment
- Your date is held once we have confirmed it in writing and received the booking amount.
- The balance is paid in stages, set out in your agreement and invoice.
- Final deliverables are released once all outstanding payments have been cleared.
2. Event schedule and coverage
- A detailed schedule with timings and venue details should reach us at least 30 days before the event.
- Changes to the schedule, deliverables or team size should be confirmed at least one month before the wedding.
- Coverage running past midnight is charged as overtime, at a rate that depends on team size, how long the coverage runs and what it involves. Overtime is subject to team availability.
3. Couple portrait session
- The bride and groom portrait session needs a minimum of 40–45 minutes.
- It is scheduled before the phera ceremony.
- Portraits after the pheras are shot only where this has been agreed in advance.
4. What we cover
- The couple, immediate family and the key moments of the day always come first.
- We shoot candidly throughout and cover guests as the day unfolds, but complete coverage of every guest cannot be guaranteed.
- Our team concludes coverage after the vidaai, unless additional coverage has been confirmed in advance.
5. Teams appointed by other vendors
- Any photography or video team appointed by your planner, decorator or venue should keep to behind-the-scenes footage, decor setup and promotional content.
- They must not interfere with our coverage of ceremonies, rituals, entries, performances or key moments.
- Where an external team obstructs our work, we reserve the right to stop coverage.
6. Decor, lighting and delays
- We are not responsible for missing decor photographs where the setup is incomplete or running behind schedule.
- We are not liable for moments, portraits, interviews or family photographs missed because of delays, scheduling changes, other vendors or lack of cooperation on the day.
- Image and film quality depends in part on the lighting at your venue. We share our lighting guideline with you after booking so you can brief your decorator. Where the lighting falls short of it, we are not responsible for the result.
7. Editing and delivery
- Every delivered photograph goes through professional colour correction, colour grading and standard editing in our own style.
- Advanced retouching — body reshaping, object removal, skin retouching or image manipulation — is not included unless agreed separately, and may carry an additional charge.
- Cinematic wedding films are delivered within 45 days, and traditional wedding videos within 60 days, counted from soundtrack approval.
- Where we choose the music on your behalf, the soundtrack cannot be changed once the first version is complete. Later changes may carry an additional charge.
8. Storage and backup
- RAW photographs and footage are stored for a maximum of 3 months after final delivery.
- After that period we reserve the right to permanently delete the archive.
- Once final deliverables have reached you, keeping your own backup is your responsibility.
9. Portfolio and social media
We reserve the right to use selected photographs and films from your event for our portfolio, website, marketing, advertising and social media.
10. Drone coverage
- Drone coverage is subject to venue permissions, weather, local regulations and operational safety.
- We are not liable where drone coverage cannot go ahead for reasons outside our control.
11. Outstation events
- For events outside our base city, travel, accommodation, local transport and meals for the team are arranged by you, unless agreed otherwise.
- Meals provided to the team should be of the same standard as those served to your guests.
12. Circumstances beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or for being unable to carry out the work because of circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, accidents, pandemics, civil unrest and similar unforeseen events.
13. Acceptance
By proceeding with the booking and payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out above, together with the agreement, quotation and invoice issued to you.
General
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction.
